Rest

A time for rest, is always. I think that every person should find what 'rest' looks like for them. In such a chaotic world, 'peace' and 'rest' are such foreign vocab. For me, rest is found in taking and editing photos. Finding those places that bring peace to my soul. It's possible to live at rest even when a lot is happening. You choose. Clear your mind. Stop. Think. Walk today in a state of

REST.

Mystery in the risks

RISK
;any venturesome undertaking especially one with an uncertain outcome

In life, we'll take a few risks, some consciously, & others unconsciously. As one year after another goes by in my life, I sometimes look back on some things I could've stepped out into that would've involved taking a risk. Those things could relate to work, study, travel, a purchase, or whatever it is that rings a bell for you.
Keeping in mind that I'm talking about positive risks, not the negative, rebellious stigma that relates to risk. My challenge for the next little season is to take a risk here or there. Even if it could mean possible failure or loss. Take a small business for example; perhaps FACEBOOK. That small business may have been the result of a 'risk' that business owner took all those years ago. And wait for it, that business has now grown from small, to medium, to large, and who would've thought?! That was a good risk to take! Now what if it fails? Well, that has it's down-side effects, but if you hadn't tried you wouldn't have known if it would've worked or not. If it works? Well, thank goodness you took that risk!
After much thought, I think we may come up with too many excuses that talk us out of any sort of risk taking in life. Our excuses are, "well, I don't have enough money", or, the classic one "it'll be too hard, and too much work."  How old will we be before we've realised we've made up every possible excuse for why we shouldn't boldly step out and pursue our dreams & passions?!
The last thought would be this: things take time. We need patience, and perseverance. We also need trust; trust in the Father, that He does make all things work together for the good of those who love Him. So whatever it is you're giving thought to, whether it's making a few handmade cards, or a small blog, remember that it started as a small dream (seed), and it may just work out GREAT if you take that risk.
Put yourself out there, don't be afraid of the voices (the silent or loud ones) that say you can't do it!
